The official welcoming ceremony was held on the South Lawn of the White House March 14, 2012 in Washington, DC and featured a presentation of troops with remarks from both the President Obama and Prime Minister Cameron. The three day visit was also slated to include discussions on the global economy and critical issues such as the situations Afghanistan, Syria, Iran and the upcoming NATO and G-8 summits.

Retired Intrepid President, Bill White accepted the invitation to the official luncheon on March 14, 2012, hosted in the Benjamin Franklin Room at the Department of State to honor British Prime Minister David Cameron. Vice President Joseph Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton provided opening remarks and welcomed British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha.

Chef April Bloomfield, originally from Birmingham, England prepared the meal for the official luncheon. Bloomfield is former executive chef of well-known New York restaurants, the Spotted Pig and the Breslin.
