Greece needs to make the rich pay their taxes

Strauss-Kahn highlighted the need to strengthen the tax collection process, saying that “the richest should participate”, referring to the problem of tax evasion recorded in the occupational categories with higher incomes.  Until now, the Greek government has hesitated to follow the advice of consultants warrant the IMF and EU in these categories Greeks suspected of tax evasion.  Strauss-Kahn’s message echoed even among anti-IMF protesters gathered outside parliament. November protests are expected today when Commissioner Olli Rehn on economic issues will visit Athens with a similar mission.  If you will not achieve the objectives of the EU – IMF structural reforms by the end of this month, Greece could delay proceedings by extending the repayment period of 110 billions of dollars received.
